The matte finish keeps it from feeling like a slippery bar of soap, which is my main gripe with most clear cases. Snaps on and off without a fight, and the back hasn't turned into a fingerprint museum after a week of use.
The matte back really does its job—no fingerprint smudges even after a full day of texting, and the clear sides let the phone’s color pop without yellowing. Snapped it on my 16 Pro Max in seconds and it fits snug around the camera bump without trapping dust.
Wasn't sure how the matte back would feel in hand, but it's got a nice grippy texture that makes one-handed use way more secure. The clear sides still show off the phone's color perfectly, and it snaps on tight without any wobble.
